Supported Living Services
Supported Living Services (SLS) are support services to assist persons with developmental disabilities live on their own in their community with support. Support services are designed around the needs and wants of the individual to enable them to reach their highest potential. Individualized support services are designed to meet the individual’s day-to-day needs in their own home. SLS enables individuals with significant needs for support to successfully live on their own because support services are not required to decrease over time, as in Independent Living Skills.
Support services can include:
- Personal care
- Securing and maintaining housing
- Community access
- Household skills
- Scheduling and supervising direct support staff
- Appointment coordination, and more

you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness
that you are able to give."
