Welfare to Work

Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire (GIRE) provides services to help end welfare dependency through contracts with Sonoma and Mendocino Counties. Since 1996 we have helped thousands of familes to find and maintain employment and achieve self-sufficiency.

In Sonoma County, GIRE provides three programs for Sonoma County Human Services, SonomaWORKS:

• Employment Services
• Community Service
• Learning Enhancement and Achievement Program (LEAP)

In Mendocino County, GIRE provides a work experience program for the Mendocino County CalWORKs program:
